Ines Cadena Cabezas
I am a postdoctoral fellow in Aleksandra Sikora’s lab at Oregon State University, where I develop human-relevant 3D tissue-engineered models to advance preventive therapeutics for sexually transmitted infections, with a focus on Neisseria gonorrhoeae. My research integrates biomaterials, quantitative drug screening, and high-content imaging to improve translational relevance and to complement in vivo models. Through engineering physiologically relevant platforms, I aim to accelerate the development and evaluation of novel antimicrobial strategies.
