Sarah Hannah
Sarah Hannah is a final-year PhD candidate from New Zealand, based at Massey University and PHF Science. Her research focuses on the genomic epidemiology of invasive meningococcal disease in New Zealand, using computational approaches to integrate genomic and epidemiological data and better understand disease transmission and population dynamics. Through this work, she aims to contribute evidence that supports more effective public health decision-making.
Sarah previously completed her Bachelor of Science (Honours) and Master of Science in cancer genetics at the University of Otago. Her research interests span genomics, infectious disease epidemiology, and public health, with a particular focus on applying genomic methods to address real-world health challenges.
She is supervised by Distinguished Professor Nigel French and Dr Xiaoyun (Una) Ren.
