Michael Oladotun M.O Popoola
I am a Global Health Security expert with over two decades of professional experience designing and implementing public health programs focusing on improved detection and response to priority infectious disease pathogens. With a concentrated effort strengthening clinical and public health laboratory interventions, especially in outbreak settings and routine medical diagnostics, I provided managerial leadership that coordinated, supported, and managed the diagnosis of high-pathogen threat using platforms like ELISA, Molecular (PCR), Bacteriology M/C/S, as well as Quality Management Systems and Serology. Key to my core competencies include strengthening laboratory logistics and information management systems using automated platforms like BLIS, commodities, and supplies management.
As a result-driven Medical Laboratory Scientist skilled in laboratory systems, my efforts have contributed to detecting several cases of Meningitis, Cholera, Lassa Fever, Measles, and Yellow Fever, among others, including the recent COVID-19 pandemic.
